The Zona Romántica, in the Emiliano Zapata neighborhood, is the liveliest heart of Puerto Vallarta. It sits next to Los Muertos Beach and the pier, and it is the most walkable part of the city: restaurants, galleries, cafés and the boardwalk are all just steps away. It is an inclusive and very international area.
It is one of the areas with the highest vacation-rental demand in all of Vallarta, so it tends to appeal to those buying as an investment. Apartments and condominiums predominate; space is scarce, which helps the area hold its value well.
